Orpingtons are an excellent starter bird for those looking for a general-purpose chicken. Their calm, pet-like disposition makes them an ideal fit for the novice flock owner. They have a very low and broad body giving them a curvy, fluffy appearance. They are beautiful buff color and will lay lots of nice brown eggs. They make wonderful fryers and roasters.
Shipping Minimums: April 1 – October 1: Minimum order of 3 birds to ship. October 2 – March 31: Minimum order of 10 birds to ship. If you order fewer than 10 birds in the colder months, we WILL delay your order.
Buff Orpington produces 225 Brown eggs per year.

Chickens require a minimum quantity of 3 to ship, you may mix breeds of the same species.
