The largest breed in the American Class the Jersey Giant has appropriately been nicknamed the ‘Gentle Giant’. Although only average layers these birds lay a considerably larger egg than most. Roosters are popular to caponize but these birds have decreased in popularity for consumption due to their slow growth and poor feed conversion. The splash color is an especially unique variety that is beautiful on their own, or can be used in blue breeding.
