Welbar

The Welbar, hailing from Britain since 1941, is the result of crossing the Welsummer with the Barred Rock. These birds are active with a robust build, featuring broad, long backs, and a full, well-rounded breast. Neatly tucked wings and a tall, large, held-high tail add to their distinctive appearance.

What makes Welbars unique is their autosexing trait. Female chicks resemble Welsummer chicks, while males are lighter in color with a distinctive white dot on their heads. This characteristic adds an extra layer of intrigue to these already fascinating birds.
